Scientific Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can involve the lungs, often as interstitial lung disease, contributing significantly to morbidity and mortalitiy. HRCT detects structural changes and pulmonary function tests assess functional impairment, but both have limited sensitivity for early disease. FAPI PET imaging visualizes activated fibroblasts. We investigate wheter this novel method aids in enabling early detection, precise risk stratification and prognostic assessment of pulmonary RA manifestations.
