How can the burden of tinnitus be scientifically reduced?
This research area focuses on developing and scientifically evaluating innovative psychological, behavioral medicine, and digital interventions for individuals experiencing distressing tinnitus. We investigate the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), digital health applications, and minimal contact interventions to strengthen the knowledge on evidence-based treatment. Additionally, we explore neurobiological correlates of altered tinnitus perception following CBT interventions and assess the potential of neurofeedback in tinnitus treatment. By integrating basic research with applied clinical studies, we strive to advance knowledge and improve care for those affected.
