Molecular Materials: Light/Matter Interface

Light-matter coupling of a point-like light source

Description / Outline

Molecular materials are exciting for physics because they combine the almost unlimited design space of chemistry with the complexity of materials. Among others, questions in this area are: Why does light emerge when electrons tunnel? How can I excite and understand electronic processes in perowskites with light? How can I influence excitons in molecular solids?

In these fields we collborate intensively with our colleagues from material science and chemistry.
