Abstract

As IT development is reshaped by artificial intelligence, IT professionals are beginningto create IT products in new ways. Drawing on our study of experienced workers atNetlight Consulting GmbH, a Swedish-founded, internationally operating IT consul-tancy, this article shows how IT professionals now use AI within their IT developmentactivities. It also identifies the difficulties and limitations that IT professionals faceand explains how the looming rise of AI “orchestras” will transform how humans andAI build IT together.
