Abstract

This paper presents a survey analysis conducted to explore the state of digital technologies in production environments. The survey, which was carried out between January and July 2024, gathered responses from 33 technical experts, with 25 valid entries analyzed. Key findings highlight that machine data collection is the most advanced area, with 84% of respondents reporting automated digital processes. In contrast, quality, logistics, and maintenance data are still predominantly handled manually. Data analysis practices vary, with a notable focus on descriptive analytics and emerging interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Strategic priorities reveal a strong emphasis on cybersecurity and cloud computing, while challenges include aligning new technologies with existing processes and addressing skill shortages. The findings provide insights into current digital maturity, strategic importance, and barriers faced by organizations on their digital transformation journey.
