Abstract

The exploration of application performance experiments within the context of 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications is critical for enhancing the efficiency and reliability of future wireless networks. The integration of NTN into terrestrial networks requires the implementation of a comprehensive performance assessment framework, including metrics such as latency, throughput and quality of service. This work focuses on integrating simulation tools being developed to assess how satellites can coexist with terrestrial 5G systems, address potential interference issues, and optimize communication protocols for seamless connectivity. These advancements are pivotal for V2X applications, where reliable and low-latency communication is essential for vehicle safety and traffic management. Overall, ongoing experiments and simulations are expected to significantly influence the development of standards and protocols for 5G NTN applications, ultimately enhancing their practical deployment in real-world scenarios.
