Abstract

The present paper shows how the German Psychological Society (DGPs) advanced the quality of psychological science in different fields of interest. We order the respective topics into quality management in psychological assessment, certification, research ethics, research standards, professional development, and teaching in course development. We can assess the impact of these endeavors quantitatively in some areas, such as certifications or diagnostic tools, whereas in other areas, we cannot quantitatively assess the impact. The respective initiatives and discussions undoubtedly increased our members' activities and ensured our self-concept as a vivid and committed scientific community.
