Abstract

Parasitic and microbial infections present substantial health risks, requiring effective treatments amidst growing antibiotic resistance. This study delves into Dysphania ambrosioides medicinal properties, utilizing hydro distillation and ultrasonic methods for extraction, followed by GC-MS analysis. Assessments revealed potent anti-diabetic effects in the methanol extract, significant antioxidant activity in the DCM extract and oil, and resistance against Escherichia coli. This research underscores the potential of local flora for novel treatments, particularly in underdeveloped regions. It emphasizes the value of plant screening in bioprospecting efforts, suggesting further investigations into specific bioactive compounds for pharmaceutical applications.
