Abstract

Using standard telecommunication equipment, we experimentally realize Parity-Time symmetry in a two-dimensional synthetic lattice with tunable gain, loss and phase structure. The fiber nonlinearity enables \mathcal{P}\mathcal{T} soliton collapse as an amplified, self-accelerating nonlinear wave packet.
