Abstract
A typographical error in equation (9a) of 2016 J. Phys. Condens. Matter 28 213001 needs correction. The dissipator LD is missing a dagger, and equation (9a) of reference [1] should read (Formula Presented) A discussion of the difference between LD and L+D and the implications thereof in optimal control calculations is found in the corrigendum [2] to reference [3].
