Abstract

Especially in price sensitive and energy intensive sectors, rising energy costs lead to a differentiated handling of companies with their energy demands. Supported by energy management systems, companies gain more and more transparency over their energy consumptions. This article describes how this transparency can be utilized within the field of cost accounting, in order to evaluate the economic efficiency of the produced products.
