A variety of materials and material combinations are used for the repair or replacement of oral and craniofacial tissues, resulting in numerous types of material interfaces. The characterization of these interfaces and their properties is an essential component to understanding the behavior and clinical performance of the final construct. Several of the important interfaces encountered in dental reconstructions, and the exiting methods for testing the properties of these interfaces, are examined in this chapter.
