Abstract
In July 2022, the first update (Version 2.0) of the German S3 guideline on the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with endometrial cancer was published, supported by the Leitlinienprogramm Onkologie (Oncology Guideline Program). This article is the summary of Chap. 6: "Surgical Treatment". Relevant innovations compared to version 1.0 include the introduction of molecular classification and sentinel node biopsy, as well as the option of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for advanced cases where primary cytoreductive surgery is not possible.
