Abstract

We demonstrate an optoelectronic oscillator based on stimulated Brillouin scattering as an active filter on a photonic chip. An ultrahigh Brillouin gain chalcogenide rib waveguide is used to generate low-noise single-mode 10 GHz RF signals.
