Abstract

We consider a network where two nodes are mutually exchanging information. The intermediate nodes are assumed to employ linear network coding. For this setting, network coding security, which was originally considered for the forward direction only, should be achieved for both directions simultaneously. Moreover, some form of forward-backward duality should be present. We show how to design such a coding strategy and derive an approximation of the success probability when performing a random search for suited designs. Numerical results covering the theoretical statements are presented.
