Permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) suffer, depending on the topology, from quality deviations of the used magnets. These can result in insufficient running characteristics, such as low power output, low energy efficiency, consequently excessive heat, strong vibrations and noise. Especially topologies, such as halbach array rotors, are strongly reliant on an even magnetic field with ideally a full flux concentration in the working air gap. As a solution for cost efficient manufacturing of these special topologies, requiring a 100 % test of magnets, an algorithm for optimized warehouse management and a graphic industry 4.0 ready user interface for the FAPS magnet intralogistics warehouse system is presented. As an example and first suggestion for compensation of magnetic fields in radial flux topologies, a vector addition based algorithm for the compensation of spatial magnetic moment deviations is developed.
