Fault detection and identification (FDI) techniques recognize faulty or corrupted navigation satellite signals using the redundancy provided by measurements of multiple satellite signals. The majority of FDI-approaches assumes only one faulty measurement, this assumption is no longer valid if the number of satellite signals increases as expected with inclusion of the new satellite systems. This paper presents a new efficient FDI-approach for the identification of multiple simultaneous failures, which delivers quality values for each measurement, based on statistic concepts like test statistic and observed significance level. ©2010 IEEE.
