Abstract

π-π talks: Three isomeric porphyrin-La@C hybrids were synthesized and structurally characterized for the first time (see picture: La blue sphere, N dark blue, O red). The two chromophores, which have a large π surface, evidently exhibit electronic interactions in the ground state and communicate with each other in the photoexcited state. © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
