Abstract

As system integration evolves and clock frequencies rise, it becomes increasingly important to consider the electrical behavior of previously neglected non-ideal effects of the microwave structures and components. This paper addresses the generation of broadband SPICE-based circuit models from frequency-domain network-parameters. A combination of subspace identification algorithm and vector fitting is applied to generate passive multi-port models of microwave devices characterized by measured or simulated network parameters. Results of the proposed method applied to microwave devices are given.
