The two-day symposium, held in May 2007, brought together the expertise of academics and practitioners from various countries in Europe (Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden and the UK) as well as Canada and the USA on the subject of temporary and contract work. The fruitful discussions of the research results from the respective national contexts were the impetus for the formation of an international network on "contigent work" and the organisation of regular workshops.
Das im Mai 2007 durchgeführte zweitätige Symposium bündelte die Expertise von Wissenschaftler- und Praktiker/innen aus verschiedenen Ländern in Europa (Belgien, Deutschland, Niederlande, Portugal, Schweden und UK) sowie Canada und den USA zum Thema Leiharbeit bzw. Zeitarbeit. Die fruchtbaren Diskussionen der Forschungsergebnisse aus den jeweiligen nationalen Kontexten waren der Impuls zur Bildung eines internationalen Netzwerkes zu „contigent work“ und der Ausrichtung regelmäßiger Workshops.
